My 6.5" pretty much jived with the NWS up the street a couple of hours ago. I'm showing 8" now. What a crazy fun day.

It's about to end. The perfect sunup to sundown snowstorm.

Something I will never see again, 7.76 inches in my yard averaging out 9 different sample points, old record was 7 inches. Landscaping lights are buried under the snow. Best winter day ever. Hope everyone got their fix of snow.

Awesome man. I feel like most everyone’s snowfall records from Lake Charles to Ft Walton probably got broken today. It’s still snowing here.

From someone used to seeing snow this all looks perfectly normal, except for the plants with leaves on them.

Really thrilled so many of you cashed in on a record snow storm.

I'm showing 8.5 inches in south west Pensacola. What a day for record breaking snow fall!

Right around 7 inches (average around the yard) just west of Fort Walton Beach. Could've been significantly higher, but our precip was straight sleet for at least the first hour and a half of the event. When it switched to snow, it did so rapidly. A couple of decent bands setting up WSW of us that I expect will push us well over 8 inches. I've had timelapse going on the GoPro since about 1300CST. Will post that when it's done rolling.

Word. What a crazy day none of us will ever forget. A buddy of mine told me I needed to sweep my front balcony else I get stuck. So I did. That was around 4:30. Then I did it 3 more times. No idea how much snow we got, but it had to be close to that 8.5-9”. We are done now but some of the coldest temps in a long time are on the way. It’s cold at my house. I got the heater on 75 and it’s like 65 inside. I have a space heater down in my garage where the water main is. That should be okay but my crazy neighbors had a fire pit in theirs. So our common stairs smell like a pit fire and so does my apartment. I got hot water dripping upstairs so the pipes don’t freeze. No chance we see this again here in our lifetimes but perhaps there is a correlation with winter snows in some heavy Gulf of Mexico biased hurricane seasons. This isn’t the first time even if it’s the first time we got this much.

Outside it looks like the full moon is out. It looks like New England. I’m figuring I’m snowed in until Friday. Boss won’t be thrilled but that’s life.

We’ve got about 0.1”+ of ice on everything now (based on me eyeballing the bushes at my front door. Still getting a mix. There’s about 1” of sleet and snow accumulated. I’m praying this switches fully to snow before the trees and powerlines start falling. We’re forecast to drop to 22 degrees tonight and I want my heater to keep running! lol

Mostly frozen precip in Panama City from all the chasers but Weather Channel was consistently showing y’all just about 32 for a while whereas Quincy was 28 and it changed over. Decent shot you’ll pick up a couple inches of freezing precipitation imho.

What a remarkable day. Went from cute grapuel which I’m usually content with in this part of the world, to looking like a scene from a nor’easter. Made my hometown look foreign to me, it’s bizarre.

We have about five inches in Myrtle Beach as of midnight with maybe a couple more hours of snow to come. Our first snow greater than one inch since 2010. I’m looking forward to an early morning walk. My boots and long johns are ready to go.
