I'm sad to report no snow. I just drove from my house which is about 8 miles southwest of the downtown core area into downtown ... saw nothing but light rain. We did have a mix of sleet and rain earlier from about 6 to 7:30 off and on. That's it.

No joy in Coldrainville (so far). :(

Going to wait and see how this thing pans out. I am planning on driving up a couple of hours north to the woodville/lufkin area after work today around 5.. should get there between 6 and 7, but im worried that east texas is going to be in a temperature battle.. Any thoughts on snow chances for this area and if there is a shot, when will the precip likely end for east texas? i dont wanna drive two hours to see cold rain

I'm in Northwest Austin, on the border of Travis and Williamson County. Sleet/Rain transitioning to Rain/snow but very light. I hope this picks up the pace otherwise accumulation will take a LONG time.

Nacogdoches to Lufkin sounds good based on GFS and NAM. Though both aren't as bullish as they were with accumulations.

as i posted quite abit earlyer about my thoughts as i whole i think the further, further s you get temps MIGHT become a serious issue and could limit snow amts we will just have to see attm i dont think it will be an issue for areas around waco now closer to austin iam not so sure and further east towards cs might have lower amts as well will just have to keep watching the trends....

Well, there are a lot of heavier returns just west of town and I hope it's moving our way. We shall see. I think the warmer-than-anticipated temps are really putting the kibosh on this whole deal.

Nederlander, im in Nacogdoches and it's now sleeting pretty good. Thought it was virga at first on the radar but its precip. This will help cool the air a plenty. Temp dropped immediately to 39F from 41F. Im off to class.

Temps are the key--Hoping I have a chance in Baton Rouge tonight.

FOrecast is for rain/snow low of 37. But they have todays high at 58!!!

Its 40.8 right now and not budging under cloudy skies and stiff north wind.

Where is this Low centered at this point? I'm trying to get a fix on the duration of this event here in Waco. Snow not coming down like it was and its not sticking, but the temp is ~33 so its understandable. REALLY wanting some accumulating snow here!
