Thats correct I do think the low will move slower than expected and be alittle farther north,,now why it is I think for sure we will get snow/ice sunday night and monday is because this storm will pull down the colder air and when the low starts to pass we will get the wrap around rain mixing with the colder air on the backside of the low.

You know, I think the guys at NWS in OKC would agree with you a bit on that last point. It's always interesting to see the differences between offices. Alot more snow in the forecast 1/2 mile north of the oklahoma border as opposed to a half mile south of the border in Denison. Hourly graph shows. almost an inch north of the border, all rain 1 mile to the south in Texas.
Denison's forecast is virtually identical to Frisco's where I live.
Such a thin temperature gradient between it happening or not. Won't know for sure until we see white stuff falling down Monday
Still not a snowstorm, but snow none the less.

Seems like it's a battle between the GFS and Euro right now for this weekend. Euro seems to paint a better picture for us in North Texas that want snow. Think going into tonight and especially tomorrow they might come together on a solution.

Tomorrow evening we should know pretty well, Saturday is the day IF a winter storm was coming is when I've noticed the frame for watches.
What I don't like is that the 540 line is away to our north. Unless the low cuts off, best we would look at is probably sleet from my standpoint.

Yeah, we'll see what happens. It could be one of those weird mixes of precip we see from time to time. The Euro at 168 looks fun up to the north. Looking like the huge blast may be coming later.

Anything that does fall will probably melt on contact due to temps being in the 60's most of this week. Now anything that falls towards the middle of next week will surely stick around.

^ EC looks fun before the cold moves out ahead of the next front. Hour 168.

Does that mean the bulk of the cold air is to shallow at that time for precip to fall as snow? I'm still very fuzzy on the 540, 850, heights, etc...

In general you want the 540 thickness line and 850 0c line to match up pretty closely. The further away they are the less likely of frozen precip. In general terms yes more shallow cold dome of cold air the further apart they are.

I would have to disagree,,,we might not see much on the main roads but grass and trees will hold it,,bridges/overpass's will freeze over I am sure

You're sure, huh? well that's a pretty bold forecast for this far out considering the Arctic front probably won't arrive until sometime Monday. This is well after precip ends with the Sunday system.
