Relish it while you can. Winter shall return and ruin the no-freeze streak for Houston.

Dry?

I didn’t see the weeklies for precipitation, just temperatures.

To add to what I said about the Euro weeklies earlier, it’s showing signs that we may be dealing with not only really cold, but could be dealing with extreme cold as well. Some are saying it’s the coldest run of the Euro weeklies they’ve ever seen.

The Euro control run is sending us into the tank around mid month.

They all generally start out the same way. Just at varying degrees of strength.

Our big cold blasts since 2020 have all started with Beaufort Sea ridging that seeds cold into Canada. This includes Feb 2021, Feb 2022, Dec 2022, and late Jan 2023. The upcoming early to mid month period is of similar value.

Ordered the pole mount. Planning to install it on a raised fence picket I had leftover from the ice storm repairs last year. There is a clearing between surrounding trees in corner of my yard that I can raise between and and 10 feet off the ground.

Was thinking of side of roof, but have gutters everywhere, it gets hot in Summer, and "the boss" didn't like that idea of poking holes near the roof. :P So It's more accessible and out away from the house in a clear spot near trees.

Used Bill Ponder's discount code, and am looking forward to reporting measurements once permanently installed! :)

10 ft should be plenty. Get some decent wind readings as well. I just put mine on the top of my roof here in Denver. Only issue is, when there isnt much weather and things are calm, my temp is a tad warm. Cold air sinks and finds the valleys, creeks, and low points here. It's wild. My overnight temps girate wildly with a slight breeze depending on many factors. Its wild.

Thanks for your input! I have another question about ir. As you are looking at the device, if the triangle is facing YOU, are YOU looking north (Tempest triangle facing SOUTH)?
