Front moves through the area Thursday 11/7 Night, temps maybe below freezing in the overnight long enough to wake up to a dusting!?

As it seems Storm2k is mostly Tropical centric, are there any forums like the old Accuweather forums for us northerners where people start individual storm potential threads for winter storms? Accuweather was my go to for following the potential for blizzards and winter storms up here in NY before it shut down.

Years tend to ebb and flow with the amount of weather. It's usually only a hand full of year round people in these winter threads. Hoping for an active winter anyway, let me know if you find a new place full of winter weather nuts.

Re: Mid-Atlantic Winter 2019-20
Looking like we could get a decent shot of snow all the way to the coast with a wave developing on the cold front that will pass by on Tuesday 11/12. Snow events all the way to the coast are pretty rare this time of year, and I believe the wave will run north quickly and we may only see a little mixing towards the end with little accumulation for the coast, inland areas it may be something more noteworthy...

Re: Mid-Atlantic Winter 2019-20
The models are now showing a pretty interesting scenario for late Sunday into Monday, where we could get a low to develop south of the region and bring significant snow for the entire area, all the way to the coast. We shall see how the models evolve over the next few days since we are still out 6-7 days and things can change.

Re: Mid-Atlantic Winter 2019-20
After a warmer look yesterday and this morning, the models seem to be bringing back the colder look with over a foot for a good portion of the I-95 corridor on Sunday/Monday on the latest Euro, stay tuned!

The flakes have been flying since I got up this morning. More than I had expected to see but not really any accumulation to speak of, except for maybe a tiny bit on the steps.

It seemed like last winter would be hard to beat in lack of snow, but this year somehow managed to be even worse for snow along the I-95 corridor. So far the seasonal total by me is 5.9 inches, all from separate, small storms that haven't been amounting to much at all.

We may be chopped liver. The year hasn't even been updated for this winter.
