Winter Weather Summary
POSTED: November 14, 2003 7:59 a.m.

A Little Snow in the West; Wind and a Little Snow in the Northeast...

The upper-level storm system coming across the Rockies will mean additional snow amounts of 1-3 inches over the high mountains of Colorado.
A series of systems moving into the Pacific Northwest will bring lower elevation rain and mountain snow over the next several days. The first, relatively weak front will mean generally 1-3 snow amounts for the Cascades of Washington and Oregon, the Coastal Ranges into northern California, the Siskiyou Range and the northern Sierra over the next 24 hours or so.
The powerful storm over eastern Canada is still generating strong winds and some snow and flurries into the Northeast. The snowbelt areas of western New York and northwestern Pennsylvania will pick up another 1-3 inches of lake-effect snow today off lakes Erie and Ontario. The mountains of northern New England will will end up with 1-3 inches of new snow as well.
