Thanks KOW. My neighbor has got his boat all set up for us. the ground is 100% saturated and we're settling in for a nice long 2 day heavy soaking rain event. Be a shame to have to evac on Christmas Day though. I can't believe we're in for rain, it's 27 with a dewpoint of 9 degrees. That's the REAL shame........

I'm about 30 minutes from 80. It's a very thin line to draw a rain/snow line with.
And a line im really not agreeing with. And now the 00z ETA surely dont help matters either?????
I personally think his next map may look alot different especially if the other models start to show what the ETA has done with this latest run!!!!!

Dr Spectrum wrote:Don't the models usually have a "Bogus" run right before they start pin-pointing the storm? I seem to recall quite a few posts at WWBB about "...Oh, this is the bogus run. Wait until xxETA or xxGFS comes out".
Yes they do. However i do believe that they are catching on to what upslope has been saying about the colder air in Canada that some models like the Euro seem to miss alot which DT seems to have based this first call map on which btw looks like the 18zgfs as well.
The 00z if looked at closely up to the 72hr time frame seems to trend over towards the 18z ETAs idea which itself has made a trend supringly a bit farther east and colder yet again on the 00z run.
Maybe Just Maybe tomorrow hopefully we will have a pretty good or atleast a better idea of what will happen. I for one am not gonna let this run fool me again. Even though this is a good trend in our favor at this point.

Just remember: If you need to knock on wood, paper will do - It's made out of wood!
Also, if you're crossing your fingers - Only one hand. Both is bad luck
BTW: The meaning behind "Knock On Wood" comes from an old Indian legend that was if you "Don't" want bad luck from the Tree Spirits, knock on a tree when you are asking for the luck. This knocking was loud enough to keep the Tree Spirits from hearing what you said!

As of Saturday night, southeastern Massachusetts stands a chance at getting at least some snow mixed in with the rain... being north of I-80.
That is the longest portion of I-80 goes through Nebraska, which is 455 miles long.
Sorry for any confusion.
