Classical warming......

#1 Postby Anonymous » Sun Jan 11, 2004 10:50 pm

I realize that this is going to be a very short warmup, but I just wanted to say that we are experiencing a classical warming trend here in N VA.

We have a lot of cloud cover, and significant SW winds which are doing a really great job of holding our temps at 28 degrees.

We are looking for temps to generally hold at 28 all night, and then as the morning sun rises look for sunny skies and rapidly warming conditions here with highs near 55. You might wanna break out the shorts, t-shirts and don't forget the suntan lotion and dark glasses. Tomorrow night we will stay mild with overnight lows near 38 degrees.

We have a significant 2-day heat wave on tap for the Mid Atlantic, progged for Monday and Tuesday.
Our dewpoints are rising steadily. They are already approaching 20 degrees, and its NOT because of snow moistening up the atmosphere. It's that strong warm-air advection out of the southwest.

Those of you that hate the recent cold, get ready to bask.

I'll be in my freezer, trying to stay cool lol.
