Nice 2 inch job

#1 Postby Dave C » Mon Jan 12, 2004 2:51 pm

After our nice little warm advection event the temps have soared to 32 as of 3pm today. Tuesday we should reach almost 40 before arctic outbreak 2 arrives. Thursdays snow event is our next watcher with bitter cold air in place and a rapidly deepening storm exiting Mid-Atlantic. We may get more ocean affect then actually storm related snow unless track shifts further north. Future model runs will hopefully provide some answers. Too warm for a "Jeb walk" today. Just kiddin Jeb!

I am sure to get shot for this one. I have been so busy the past few days, I haven't kept an eye on things here. It started to snow last night and by morning we had 6 inches. Picked up another 3 today. Not bad for not knowing

I noticed last nite there was a nice rotation with the upper system over your area. The lake affect must of factored into your snowfall as well. Here, a lot of the initial mosture dried up before it made it here, the 2 inches fell in a 2-3hr. burst and that was pretty much it. I'm just glad to see 32 deg. again!!!
