PAwx, welcome to Storm2k. Anyway, it's not about a care issue, it's an issue that they've tried to resolve, but have been unable to do so ... There's been an average of 200 users online consistently for how long? And simply, WWBB isn't equipped to handle that kind of load for a length of time ...

I've been to several BB's with alot more users than WW and there have been no problems at all.

Storm2k was definitely buzzing during the tropical season, and was the original premise of this board. This year is the first year that S2k has delved into a winter weather forum on its own and like a lot of things takes time to build up ... I'm very hopeful, and so far, have been pleasantly surprised.

BTW, you did better than I, I couldn't get ANY page worth of threads to open (and I'm on cable line)

It seems more than the BB is having problems...the subscriber site is slower than Christmas day too...just took me 15 minutes to look at three panels of the Euro....

That is really pretty unfair for you to say that. They have spent alot of money to TRY to resolve the issues. The move to another server is again costing them money. You say they are doing it for subscribers? I would bet maybe 20%-30% of WWBB posters subscribe. Anyhow, I'm not going to use this forum for an all out brawl over another community. I just wanted readers of this post to see there are two sides to every story.

What Crap? But we have heard the same story over and over again for the past year or so.. Hardware/Software issues...In today's technology there is/should be a solution. If they have spent the money, then they should be receiving results...Last year was the the same story...it is getting old, and only leading one to think that what I mention above.

I pitty those that do pay a fee and the subscriber site is slow. I would demand performance or go elsewhere.

You run a business which has many public service type aspects to it some of which even amount to being free. If you ran your nice business with the inattentiveness that they do, you would be out of business.

WW has become a joke. Absolutely no moderation on the boards... they'll ban one person.. but then allow somebody else to do the same thing.

Moving their servers is not going to fix the problem. WWBB software is CRAP... they've been told that several times.. it's a common bug of that forum software to crash freq... but they don't wanna hear it.
