Well It's Happening Again

#1 Postby Anonymous » Wed Jan 21, 2004 11:24 am

I know the weekend is a few days off, but what once looked like a promising snow event for No Va, (wxrisk.com) appears to be warmer, so instead of snow...you guessed it...a little mix but mostly rain.

The Winter Screw Watch is now in effect.

That's why CAUTION's always the watchword concerning snow this winter.

We're getting used to it; it's going to be a long hard winter, but we will get through this.

Once we hit March 15 or so, it'll be fully appropriate for MA folks to start talking spring and gardening issues. Hey folks, its only about 7 weeks away; it'll be here before we know it lol. :)

The north trend is the rule this winter; we may as well resign ourselves to it.

Every winter I learn a little more; this winter I have learned that it can indeed get very, very cold........and still be nearly snowless in the MA.

C'MON Spring!!! :) :) :)

I would not give up on this one so quick, or the next mid week storm. I'm saying colder than progged by NWS, they have not even been close to accurate on temps all winter. Jeb, you know that as well as any here. Water temps dropping dramatically in the Mid Atlantic and NE make it even more difficult for warm air intrusion other than from the gulf. Greenland block.

NWS D.C says Sunday high 41 and by Tuesday high of 53, I don't buy it this time.
