potential OF HUGE winter storm eastern 1/2 US -MECS FEB2-4

As much fun as the wed event is... the data is very strong and growing stronger that a BIGGER -- MILLER A or Gulf mexico event is building over the eastern half of the US --- over the Plains mainly south of I-70 and into the Tenn valley Lower Mid Atlantic and MAYBE the northeast

Basically after this wed event another Great lakes clipper of moderate intensity will swing through by the end of the week . B/c of the block over eastern canada and the Huge displaced vortex over se Caanda this clipper low may bring a moderate snow into New england as well.

But behind the clipper the west coast ridge builda into the Great Basin which forces the next into the sw and drops it into TX whle a new arctic air bulds over the Midwest and northeast.... JAN 31- FEB 1

BUT with the Block over NE Caanda and the PV still over NF this next system swings wide and deep gathering lost os RH from a wide open gulf.

This Could be THE winter storm of the season. Whether it gets into the Northeast I cannt say wince much will depend on the 500 Block and PV position

***JEB thinks longingly of a HUGE snow for N VA..........maybe, just maybe so much cold air and TONS of moisture that JEB FINALLY gets his dream 36 inches of snow...............

Oh, The digging.............Oh, the drifts............Oh, the horrendously HUGE mounds of snow EVERYWHERE reminiscent of February 19, 1979's 23 inch snow............ What unimaginably beautiful snowy jebwalks.................

IF Only it would happen.......................Oh PLEASE let this beautiful huge snow event straight from weather weenie Heaven slam full-force up the coast and right into N VA, dumping my dream 36 inches of snow, along with much of the Southeast, clear up through the SNE and NE Corridor!!!!!

Just to think of a legendary jebwalk in 36 inches of snow, with all those unbelievably stupendously HUGE, TALL Ice-Age Mounds of plowed snow at the Mall and everywhere!!!!!!! An event of an entire lifetime................

To be followed by strong, strong N winds and unbelievable cold and such drifting and ground blizzard conditions.................

In all my life and in my very best dreams, I can not even begin to imagine what in Life could EVER be better than that!!!!!!

DT - thanks for the update. It's nice to know that if the Tuesday/Wednesday event winds up being only a glancing blow for my area, we have another shot at a significant winter storm within a week's time.

BTW -- for those who haven't seen JB's videos today -- he mentions this is probably wanting to come up the coast but also implies that it could wind up west of the mountains.

West of the mountains would mean HUGE, HUGE snows to the west and north of the storm but massive warmth and tremendous rain to the east, for folks like yours truly.

While I would be happy for the folks getting all that snow, that would no doubt be the BIGGEST Winter Screw Job of the winter, hands down.
