Light Snow Possible in N VA this morning.....

#1 Postby Anonymous » Fri Jan 30, 2004 1:14 am

Thus I am starting a new topic. It probably will not get far, but radar trends are showing this area of snow is getting steadily closer to N VA. It appears to be linking up with a Gulf feed as well, however weak.

Winds are now out of the NE at 3 to 6 mph and steadier with time.

Temperature is 29, dewpoint 20. Relative humidity is 66 percent, not exactly a dry airmass. Pressure is 29.81 and falling.

This will likely be my last post tonight; however I suspect I'll be back in a few hours with a few more updates.

Please see the regional and national maps.

The precipitation area is moving steadily east and it is not breaking up. As I said before, this area of snow appears to be linking up with a weak Gulf feed.

I think a Winter Weather Advisory may be in order for N VA by 5 or 6 am this morning.

Sure I'm an incurable snow fool, but I feel the need to be vigilant. Some things in life I miss, but not possible snow. Not ever.

7:37 and we have a light snow shower in Alexandria. Nice fat flakes and it is sticking. Do not think it will amount to much, but it is pretty. Wake up Jeb-look outside. LOL
