Just for fun ----- > contest proposal:

#1 Postby FLguy » Thu Feb 12, 2004 5:07 pm

with all the discussion about a MAJOR march nor'easter well underway, i figured it would be fun for us to look at just how severe YOU folks think this event will be. expressed in terms of snowfall accumulations, and P-type.

therfore, please vote for one of the criteria above, and also list your prediction below in the thread. the winner will be announced on APR 1.

we will use the poll above to get an idea of what everyone in general is thinking, and the exact numbers (or other comments) posted by individuals in the thread its self to determine our winner. any questions, just ask me.

HAVE FUN !!!

My apologies senors and senoras.........I quickly forget that I am in Norte Americano land.......sorry.

I was saying, in English.....

My choice is.......My front door will be drifted shut, because we will see 24 to 36 inches of snow with this particular system, which will have a coastal component and which will feature snow drifts over 15 feet tall. I will be shoveling snow for three weeks, into April, and jebwalks will be near impossible for a week in my area. I hope it verifies, and I believe it will.

Hey FLguy, If we see a snowstorm in early March, how much snow do you think will fall in Woodbridge?

Thanks.

I said 3 - 6 inches of snow.

It's always fun to have a poll or contest like this!

I think 12"+ will be pretty common across the Northern Mid Atlantic.

I say 8 to 12 inches in early March for DC and Baltimore, possibly more further north.

Flguy...

I'm still sticking to my guns that the I-95 area from Richmond to BWI will not see a major storm of 8+ inches.

So I predict a mixed bag with some snow 3-6 inches during the next few weeks.

Have a nice day :D

Better than nothing and there is always the opportunity of snow events during the late winter and even early spring, especially early meteorological spring (during the month of March).
