Local mets say!!!!!
The local mets jsut got on tv for the 12 oclock news. It was channel 12 and the meteorologist was Andrew Freiden. He said that he was trusting a coupld of the models that were calling for a big one in Virginia. He siad there was one or two models that werent mentioning it but he didnt trust them since they hadnt done good this winter at all. He went on to say that this storm was gonna be much different then most storms we experience because this one was gonna ride up the coast at least until it got to us then it woud probably move out to see. but he said the damage would be done by then. He said he would give model ammounts at the 5 oclock news. I will let yall know what he says then.. Yoda let me know if you find out anything new.

SE Virginia will get CLOBBERED by this midweek storm.
If I were in Norfolk for this storm I would be understandably excited, because they will get 8 to 14 inches of snow from this.
However for the N VA region with the Tuesday/Wednesday storm it will be a tale of Storm Track and Dry Air.
Storm Track: The storm will move east, taking the qpf with it east away from N VA.
Dry Air: Right now it is 32 degrees with a dewpoint of 0 degrees. That's dry air folks. Because the storm track will trend east, and thus very little qpf available to N VA with this midweek storm, therefore no snow. All or most of the available moisture will be expended just to moisten up the atmospheric column. That is the problem we have been grappling with all winter here in N VA.
No big loss anyway folks..........It'll be in the 50s beginning Thursday, through Friday with overnight lows in the 40s, then Saturday we have some rainfall on tap with highs in the mid/upper 50s and lows near 48 degrees. Hell, even if we DID get a good snow here tomorrow night we'd see it melt by Sunday morning between the relentless mild weather late this week and the rainfall/milder weather this upcoming weekend.
I can't wait to see the daffodils!!!!!
C'Mon Spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One thing about The Force.......Springtime is usually the time of year when I go back to my Hardy Boys websites, then to ezboards, them from there to ezboards' Star Wars boards!!!!!!
By early April I should be in full Star Wars swing lol.....................
Yeah I am a Star Wars fan, heck I am a Sci Fi fan too!!!!

I can not watch enough Stargate SGC-1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The snow side of the Force is really sweet.......but the spring aspect of the Force is waxing day by day here in the Mid Atlantic lol

My local mets say (i live in central virginia)....
"A coastal storm is going to develop tomorrow that could bring us a significant snow storm. Instead of a southern stream system that we'll see coming at us from the South-- we're going to wait for the development of the Southeast coast. It looks like Richmond will get snow while points East will get rain."
