Winter Weather Summary
POSTED: March 12, 2004 7:42 a.m.

Snow and Wind in the Northeast

A storm heading across eastern Canada is generating strong winds and some snow and flurries over the Northeast. During the day today, 1 to 3 inches of new snow will fall across the northern tier of Pennsylvania, much of New York state and into northern New England. Roads will be snow covered and slippery in some areas. The winds will gust past 40 mph at times today and tonight in the Northeast as well even in areas south of the accumulating snow.

By tomorrow morning, 1-3 inches of new snow will accumulate in the Washington Cascades, in the Bitterroots and in western Wyoming.
