SUN SETS in Barrow Alaska

#1 Postby tropicana » Thu Nov 18, 2004 2:48 pm

Barrow is located on the northern tip of Alaska a little more than 500miles north of Fairbanks AK. It is the northern-most town in North America and a little more than 300 miles from the Arctic Circle.

The sun rise today (Nov 18) in Barrow is at 12:49pm and will set just 44 minutes later at 1:33pm .
The sun will not rise again in Barrow until January 23rd 2005. This city of 4,400 people will still see about 3 hours of civil twilight daily.

The weather today (Thursday) in Barrow is overcast and outdoor temperatures are just around 11F , wind chills near 0F. Its unlikely the sun will even shine today on Barrow with the overcast conditions.
