Far enough away not to have the warmer marine influence but close enough to enjoy some good lake effect snows. I have plenty of elevation as well which helps. 1,000ft. I am very close to where i69 and i94 hook up.

You know something, King of Weather?

I have my WeatherBug tuned to YOUR part of the US, Grand Rapids, MI!!

You LUCKY, LUCKY Dog!!!!!!

You have snow, heavy at times through tonight, accumulating to 2 inches by 7pm. It's 31 degrees there right now! You get to enjoy refreshing NE winds, courtesy of a strengthening Low passing just to your SE with time. You'll enjoy NE gusts to 45 mph or better, as the heavy snow continues through the night. There will be blowing snow. You are in Heaven!

ENJOY THAT SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)
