When it comes to ice accumulation, I am the jebwalking expert on successfully walking on ice glaze without falling down and fracturing my hipbone lol. I've got 30 years of jebwalking experience. Last winter, N VA had fog in 28 degree conditions with snow and ice on the parking lots at the Potomac Mills Mall and I was out there conducting a jebwalk. Sure it took me over 2 hours to complete my jebwalk all the way around the 1.7 mile long road around the Potomac Mills Mall, but I did it well, enjoying EVERY step of the ice-covered jebwalk. I have been jebwalking for over 30 years; indeed it is the only thing I know how to do very well. I was playfully sliding back and forth on the ice at times, in an environment in which most folks would have fallen and been seriously injured.

But when it comes to walking on the ice, I know what I am doing. I sure didn't have to worry about muggers. Even the security personnel's vehicle had spun out on the ice shield, but I continued on, immensely enjoying my ice-covered jebwalk. :)

Central and Northern Kansas are going to be in the sweet spot for this storm-at least that's how it looks now-The Topeka, Lawrence, and Kansas City areas are supposed to see a rain/snow mix with maybe 1 inch-prob. nothing but a mess!! Can't complain, as Lawrence and Kansas City already has had as big of a single snow as we've seen since December 2000- :D (we finally got lucky!!!!)that will prob. be it untill at least middle or end of December as we hit a pretty dull period for the next couple of weeks-good luck to Nothern Kansas and Missouri!! Have a great night

Simplykristi:

The NWS out of Topeka just bumped Lawrence up to 4 inches plus-It seems the models are trending the storm a bit slower and a bit further South-we shall see.

Thanks-even with the switch in mid Jan., if the sub tropical jet keeps going, we can still see some decent snows-but in all likely hood, we will see a good late December (things really quite down here after this earlly week for about 10 days) and early Jan. then it will be time for Bass fishing!! Unless it is like 92-93!! Have a great night!!!
