Maybe the First Winter Storm for the S, SE, E, and NE??
Big changes starting 12/10 thru 12/13, could be a big snow event for the SE up the East Coast and into the New England States.
The chance for Snow or Ice will streach between Dallas, TX to Atlanta, GA up the Carolinas and into the NE. Even Ohio may get a piece of the action.

It is very possible though that come Jan this could happen.
I know, I hope we see a huge March 1993 except a bit further east type MECS come this winter. That would be totally awsome

You can have that. I'll take another 78midwest Blizz. That baby dropped 34 inches here with drifts over 10 feet!

I know the GFS over does everything, but I just have this funny cold feeling about Dec 10-15.
From my North Texas Winter Outlook posted Sept. 22
" December - Looks to be cooler than avg with below normal temp for much of the month, and with avg to above avg precipitation. I think the middle of the month will be the coldest (13-21). Christmas looks to be Cold and Dry. (Normal High/Low - 57/37)"

Well what do you know.... HUNTSVILLE GIVES CHANCE FOR WINTERY PRECIP!!!!!!!
ANOTHER POTENTIAL RAIN, AND POSSIBLY WINTRY WX
MAKER LOOMS JUST BEYOND THIS FORECAST PERIOD AS A GULF WAVE DEVELOPS
ALONG THE STRONG THERMAL ZONE. TOO IFFY AT THIS POINT TO LATCH ONTO
THIS SOLUTION GIVEN RUN TO RUN DISCONTINUITY IN TIMING AND PLACEMENT
OF DEVELOPMENT, BUT DOES BARE WATCHING.

A BETTER CHC APPEARS ON SAT. VORT MAX PROGGED ACROSS CWA EARLY IN
THE DAY...1000-850 THCKNS RMNS SLTLY BLO 1300 IN THE NRN PART OF THE
CWA WOULD SUPPORT FZN PCPN. THINK E OF THE MTNS A MIX OF WET SN/RA
IS PSBL W/ NO ACCUM...PERHAPS WHITENING OF THE GND SAT MRNG IN THE
MTNS. LATER SHIFTS CAN MAKE ADJUSTMENTS.
