to pick up. The GFS and EURO are in good agreement for a moderate blast of arctic for late next weekend-early next week for the Central and Eastern US. After that, if the 10 day EURO is right, there'll be nothing but a bob-wire fence between Texas and the North Pole. Actually, the 240 EURO, not a 3 day average, I get from a paysite has brutally cold arctic air knocking on Nebraska's door on day 10 and heading south.

Here's the day 10 average EURO, not from paysite.

I would like to know what this paysite is that you are talking about. perhaps it's http://www.wright-weather.com/ ?

Secondly, be careful about the long range GFS. Forecasts can change dramatically from one run to the next ESPECIALLY after day 5.

BTW for you east coast weenies--D7 ECMWF is looking up for you WRT a possible snow threat.

I noticed the same thing on the 10 day euro. The NWS out of Topeka and KC are already beginning to discuss the front next Sunday-To be honest, they don't have much else to discuss-besides some gusty North winds today which have just now (after blowing for 7 hours) taken us below 40 degrees, we will barely see clouds this week with highs in the 40's starting Wednesday-may reach 60 here on Saturday before the next strong front. The weather here has come to being excited about wind events and high temps in the lower 40's :D lol!! However, it does seem as of now that the the front next Sunday may be stronger than the current one which will bottom us out at about 17 Monday night-colder that it has been for sure, but nothing really big for here. However, no real precipitation in sight-hopefully that will change-have a great night-and happy following the Polar Express-may it come roaring through next week!!
