simplified graphical models

#1 Postby air360 » Mon Dec 13, 2004 8:20 pm

ok...i can understand what everyone is saying pretty well...but still...graphics are wonderful. Is there anywhere i could see "simplified" model depictions of what could possibly be coming the next few weeks. I found this site which showed precip type on the gfs model http://www.rap.ucar.edu/weather/model/index.php?model=gfs (click loop all times then click on the precip type button) . I am fully aware that the GFS is really a crap model that far out but i just thought it was a cool graphical example of precip type for a model run. Does anyone know of any other places where i can view this type of model data...i know its all very hard to put into graphical form that far out...but any links would be awesome..thanks!
