My kind would be HUGE dump of snow beginning about 3pm today (so we could leave work early and drive home in it).

Hmmm, I was looking at some radar data and wondering whether that precip was making it to the surface or not. Thanks for the confirmation! Northeast Alabama seeing a bit of flurry action as well.

Yep. It made it to the ground, but the clouds are starting to clear out now. Sun is popping in and out, but still sitting at 30 degrees! :froze:

It was all gone by 1:00 pm--just as the NWS said. :(

Otherwise....I'd be happy to send it over. I've got a 3 year old nephew in College Station who has NEVER seen snow. I'd love to give him THAT for Christmas! :D

To see flurries there is pretty neat to hear. Definitely a sign of the changing seasons as we approach XMAS. The calender Winter starts officially a week from today. Happy to hear that Jeny. I live in central Maryland and I haven't seen a snowflake yet this season.

I'm originally from No. Va (moved to ATL in '68), but still have lots of family in the DC/IAD area. Most likely you'll be seeing MUCH MORE of the white stuff than we will....

But...flurries in ATLANTA today really does show that Ole Man Winter has awakened and is upon us, doesn't it? :D

I'm psyched.

:grr:

I'm 75 miles SW of Atlanta. No flakes to be seen. It's going to be frigid tonight though. Already 30.4 at 8:30pm and headed to around 18-21.

Don't feel bad, down here the real cold hardly ever reaches us. Low of 43 tonight while Orlando is in the low 30's.

Sorry you didn't get flurries. It really was quite nice, but I have a feeling that we might see more yet--hopefully you will too.

It's cold here too. We're sitting at 28 degrees at Dobbins Air Force Base, according to Weatherbug.

It sure does bring you into the Christmas spirit doesn't it. I live northeast of BWI near Martin State Airport. My relatives live close to or right near BWI. I have other relatives that live closer to the Chesapeake Bay. I'm watching to see what happens late this weekend into early next week for the northeast and middle atlantic states. While the chances for a significant snow event are there, there's no guarantee as this system could just as easily be an offshore entity.

It's 32 degrees here at my house as of 9 PM, but below freezing at BWI close to 30 right now. It's still brisk with wind chills in the teens.

I'm with ya! CHRISTMAS here we come! Hopefully it will be a white Christmas for a LOT of us.

As for tonight, according to Weatherbug at 9:28pm, in the part of metro Atlanta where I live--we're sitting on 28 degrees, winds NW 10mph, and VERY chilly.

Take care and bundle up....
