A clipper system is supposed to bring some snow to the east tomorrow. This is the warmup batch before the BIG one this weekend!

I would watch the developing surface low off the North Carolina coast. Although models place this low outside of the critical "bench" mark, it still has the potential to produce significant snow along coastal regions of the Northeast...Boston, NYC, etc. As of now, Boston looks like the winner...as has been the case for most of the winter. 6-12+ inches with this storm...they not only get the surface low moisture, but the ocean-effect snow squalls that develop on the northeast side of the low. Some places along the island may get 15+ inches from this storm. What about NYC? This will be marginal...2-4 inches at most. DC will probably manage 1 inch, but you never know with the track of this low.

Well, we managed only a thin coating in my driveway in Arlington VA (under 1/4 inch), but it may stick around for some hours given the cold forecast.

Can confirm a very light dusting here in Alexandria at work. Nothing back home in Fredericksburg. 21 degrees with a biting NNW wind.
