Need Your Best Guesses & Advice

#1 Postby debbiet » Wed Jan 19, 2005 7:19 pm

I am supposed to be traveling Friday from near Wmsbg,VA to Baltimore for a conference all day on Saturday and traveling back home Saturday night. It's about 3.5 hours driving time each way. I need to cancel reservations at the hotel by 4 pm tomorrow if I cannot come...I do not want to get stranded up there or spend hours white knuckling it on the way home. Are we talking a major winter storm event...seems mets here are reluctant to say anything and there is some talk of mainly rain...Help! Would you guys/gals go or not?

Don't know... I'm not sure what the definition of "major" is up there, but I'll be shocked if there's not 4-5 inches sometime this weekend, and probably more.

We received less than 2.2 inches today and it took me 4+ hours to get home in Fredericksburg, from work in Alexandria (42 miles). I think you will be taking a risk as it stands now. I think you should consider plan B.
