For those of you wondering what this is about and haven't seen this before a little explanation is in order. When a major weather event of any type occurs that impacts members of this site we like for them to check in with the site to let us all know they are ok. We actually maintain a calling list, if one is so inclined to join it, that can be utilized in extreme situations. We do care about ALL of our members and their safety.

6 p.m. - Still snowing, high winds but worst seems through

#5 Postby Persepone » Sun Jan 23, 2005 6:26 pm

Hi all,

It's still snowing (ocean effect) and we still have high winds, but the worst seems to be behind us here on Cape Cod.

We're okay (warm and indoors).

Very impressive storm.

Here in Cincy, we were supposed to be hit hard with ice and snow. Obviously, that didn't happen. In fact, we got almost nothing. Go figure. But, we did have bitter cold winds which dropped wind chills to near -20 Sunday morning. Not the coldest I've ever seen but pretty cold nonetheless.

Right now it's 13° here after dropping just below zero last night.
