Well, NWS PTC is making mention already of possible frozen precip this weekend. Hmmm. They don't normally mention frozen stuff this early out.

In fact, they usually wait until the event is almost on us before they concede the possibliity of frozen precip. Which suggests (to me) they think this is a BEAR WATCH.

So....we shall see.

.LONG TERM...
EXTENDED FORECAST COMPLICATED AT BEST. SURFACE FRONT SLOWLY SINKS SOUTHWARD WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY AS BROAD SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE MOVES ACROSS THE OHIO VALLEY AND OFF THE MID ATLANTIC STATES BY LATE FRIDAY...SETTING UP A WEDGE FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY. APPROACHING SOUTHERN STREAM SHORT WAVE WILL SPREAD PRECIP ACROSS FORECAST AREA FRIDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY...WITH WEDGE AND COLDER AIR IN PLACE MAY SEE SOME FROZEN PRECIPITATION...HOWEVER DUE TO UNCERTAINTIES 6 DAYS OUT WITH TIMING OF SHORTWAVE...AND COLD AIR WILL CONTINUE SLIGHT CHANCE/CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND CONTINUE TO MONITOR LATER MODEL RUNS
