Well, Bro (literally, he is my brother.
), here it goes:
Today: Enjoy your day off!
It will be near 60 today but windy with southerly winds up to 20-25 mph possible this afternoon.
Tonight into Sunday: A chance of rain late through Sunday night. A 100% chance of rain. By Sunday evening, some snow may mix in, and the precip. should eventually change to all snow by midnight. With this FIRST system, expect about 2 inches here in the Omaha/Council Bluffs metro areaa.
The reall fun may come knocking by Monday night. A little early to tell, but I would guess we could have about 3 to 5 inches of snow on the ground by Wednesday.
Thereafter, a moderating trend into next weekend with temperatures near 40 as early as Thursday.

It def. looks like the The Tuesday/Wed. event could be interesting for the central plains. The 0z GFS and 06 GFS as well as the EURO give even Kansas City/Lawrence a shot at some snow. The soundings have my area at freezing and below during the height of the precip. For this snow starved winter 3-4 inches of snow would cause problems here-any snow causes problems here and has the news doing wall to wall coverage even for 2 inches!! That is how lacking snow has been here-cold yea-we have it and get it-snow and winter precip-just hasn't really come together much in the past 12 years.
