Pattern Set-up Looks good for East

#1 Postby yoda » Sat Feb 12, 2005 11:42 am

After taking a look at the 0z GGEM, 0z Euro, and the 0z GFS... it looks like finally the East could see some fun. With what looks to be a -NAO and some possible energy from out west... (can we ever get the baja low in the fun?)... we should see some snow events here in the MA and NE starting after Feb. 16... IMO.

I believe you will be able to party on if some of the models are correct.

I really hope Eastern KY can get in on the action. Old Man Winter has been teasing us since December with all the storms that barely missed us.

Same with here. Every storm has missed us by just 50 miles or so or we get the dry slot. Sucks.

In Atlanta, this winter, we've seen:

About 1" of ice in a 24 hour period

and

8 tiny little snowflakes right around Christmas (yep, I counted) ;)

Our window to see anything accumulate around here is rapidly closing. Looks like another snowless winter for us.

SUCKS BIG!! :grrr:

Don't get your hopes up too high. The storm could be rain instead of snow, or the storm could fizzle out. But, keep checking in about this possibility.
