Post Snow Totals

#1 Postby ohiostorm » Tue Mar 01, 2005 10:54 pm

Just a new thread for people to post snowfall totals from the February 28th to March 2nd Snowstorm...

Here in Eastern Ohio I measured anywhere between 6 and 7 inches. Very hard to measure due to blowing and drifting.

Ummmm, 4 inches in one spot, 8 inches in a different spot, 12 inches in another spot, etc. LoL I guess put me down for 8 since that's the average! Like you said, very hard to measure with the blowing and drifting! Have to see what the Pitt Airport officially got.

We have been in some of the persistant snow bands all morning. I think we've picked up another 1 to 2 inches so far. Maybe even more. Still very hard to measure. Few places had Level 2 Snow Emergencies earlier this morning.

On February 28th, we woke up to about 1 inch of snow dusting the grass and trees. Streets were just wet, but it was beautiful!

NWS Peachtree City is now calling for snow showers in Atlanta Tuesday night and Wednesday next week. Woo hoo...hope it verifies!

We ended up with a total of 9" for the entire storm here at my house in East Central Ohio. Great banding yesterday. Bands persisted throughout the day giving us bursts that lasted 15 minutes to an hour at times dropping about 4 inches through the day.

3 billion inches

Annapolis, Maryland (40 miles east of DC and 30 miles south of Balto)

The president has declared a state of emergency for my bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. The national guard has been alerted and they are on their way to dig me out of my snow covered house.

Zero, zilch, nada!

We had a couple of inches of snow back in December 22, 2004. Does that count?
