Looking GOOD!

#1 Postby azsnowman » Mon Mar 07, 2005 7:24 am

WELL......I think for the biggest part, winter may be on it's way out and let me say.........it's been a WILD, WET, WET, WET winter 8-) It's still hard to believe that the drought has been upgraded in just 3 months, from exceptional to moderate. Water tables are FULL, the reserviors are FULL, fresh underground springs that have been dry for 9 years are once again running......let's just hope that the 05 Monsoon Season comes about in full and continues this WET pattern! "Break out the Sunscreen and the cooler full of MGD..it's TIME to BAKE in the sun for a few weeks!"

Gee... that was the forecast for Seattle for the last two weeks of February and a few people on here insisted that it was very winter-like!!

Glad to hear someone in Arizona calls that spring.

Yeah Frank, today was OUTSTANDING........ 8-) A little chilly, had a stiff north breeze of 14-18, which BTW....is WONDERFUL, it'll help dry up the 5" of MUD!

Sounds really good for the rest of the week too 8-)

azsnowman...

The fun is just about to begin up here in WA state...it's time for our nasty weather now! :D

By the way...TT did not tell you that some places around here had frozen lakes and ponds, at the end of Feb. Also, the lows were about 10 degrees colder than you are expecting. Just trying to keep him honest!

By the way...our high temps during the period in question ranged from the mid 40s to near 60. Once again, considerably cooler than what you are talking about!

I see a low of 24 degrees in there. That is 2 degrees colder than Seattle ever got during our dry spell.

We had some frost and frozen puddles in deep shaded areas but the weather was basically the same as you are experiencing. Mostly 50's and low 60's with chilly nights. Lots of trees bloomed during this spell.

Sure beats 35 degrees with pouring rain. I call that winter in Seattle.

Not the weather we had the last week of February!!

I've had some VERY cold days and nights this past winter......there were some days in January where we never made it out of the teens, we had nights below zero, I for one, am GLAD those days and nights are over, it's TIME to shed the winter coats, the snow/mud boots for sandles and BBQ!
