Amazing Clouds

Here is a pic of some amazing looking clouds over Mt St Helens that I found on another board. Not sure what they are. I will let the experts here figure it out.

Altocumulus Standing Lenticularis (ACSL) in a Cap Cloud formation showing the flow over the mountain. Such wave clouds are very common in mountainous regions. In the Philippines such a Cap Cloud over the Solitary extinct cone of Mount Arayat in Central Luzon was a warning signal to the Farmers there that a Typhoon was approaching though in that case the cloud foramtion was a combination of SCSL and ACSL.

Hey...Great picture! Thoes linticular clouds look pretty cool. And as for the mountain....That looks more like Mt.Rainier than St.Helens. :wink: :)
None the less though...a very fine pic!

na that is Mt. St. Helens i know that moutain when i see it 8-)
plus mt rainer has a more distinctive cone on it
