wow! that sucks! (unless you are already ready for summer. 8-) ). It will probably get chilly again though before the winter is done, so I wouldn't get too used to the heat...but wow! 90 degrees in January!? Is that an all time record high?

Wow, and I thought Houston winters stunk. I don't know if I could take that in January.

At my Unofficial location- yes...all time...for January

All time record- no, not officially, the official station recorded around 81 but that is because
the official station is right near the open tampa bay next
to water temperatures of 63 F.
Go 5-10 miles inland...and without the water's influence-
easily 85-90...

Depends on your location- near the waters with cold winter ssts it
will be about 5-10 degrees colder than locations further inland.

A cold front should bump highs down into the upper 60s by mid-week

When I used to live in apts., I had my guages on my balcony and they always read hotter than the real temperature. Part of the reason is you should never take readings that close to a building, especially a balcony that traps the heat even more. Second reason is that unless you are on the 1st floor, you're not going to get an accurate surface/2m temperature reading.

Interesting...I'll take that into consideration-
the 95 was probably too high
Around the mid to upper 80s was probably more accurate
