Arizona Drought

#1 Postby riverratmike » Sun Feb 12, 2006 1:38 am

What's going on with no rain for over 3 months. Anyone know the outlook for the Arizona monsoon season 2006?

According to Aslkahuna (Steve), ironically, the La Nina that is bringing this exceptional drought across the South should also bring above-average monsoonal moisture this summer.

Actually, I'm backing off on that-yes, La Nina typically brings an early starting monsoon and often a wet one, but I fear that the drought feedback will dry out the flow too much and we may end up with another weak monsoon.
