Tornado warning was just posted for newberry, sc. Looks today is to be busy afterall.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN COLUMBIA HAS ISSUED A

* TORNADO WARNING FOR...
NEWBERRY COUNTY IN CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 230 PM EDT

* AT 140 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO NEAR NEWBERRY...
OR ABOUT OVER NEWBERRY...MOVING EAST AT 45 MPH.

* SOME LOCATIONS IN OR NEAR THE PATH OF THE STORM INCLUDE...
NEWBERRY...

THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE DURING A TORNADO IS IN A BASEMENT. GET UNDER A
WORKBENCH OR OTHER PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE. IF NO BASEMENT IS
AVAILABLE...SEEK SHELTER ON THE LOWEST FLOOR, IN AN INTERIOR HALLWAY
OR ROOM SUCH AS A CLOSET. STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.

IF IN MOBILE HOMES OR VEHICLES...EVACUATE THEM AND GET INSIDE A
SUBSTANTIAL SHELTER. IF NO SHELTER IS AVAILABLE...LIE FLAT IN THE
NEAREST DITCH OR OTHER LOW SPOT AND COVER YOUR HEAD WITH YOUR HANDS.

We just had a line pop up right on the coast...Ruined my beach/kayak day...But yet, it didn't. :)

We were tornado warned around 3 today, with a nasty cell..We just had a nice bow echo roll in this evening with 40-50mph sustained, and heavy rain...Saw 1-2" hail for a bit too...

yall get too lucky up there. I'm only 60 miles down from you we got maybe some 30mph winds thats it.

Heavy damage sustained in portions of the Lowcountry tonight with severe thunderstorms ... I reported 60-65 mph winds as a convective line joined the main line in Berkeley County. Unbelievable weather day again for the Lowcountry as the focus of SVR WX targeted South Carolina once again today.

Many areas reported high winds with many many damage reports from wind today...
