Oh Gosh!! It's Raining!!!!

#1 Postby cctxhurricanewatcher » Wed May 10, 2006 5:28 pm

As I type it is pouring down rain on my side of Copus. The first significant rain at my house since Nov 1!!!!!!!!!!! All coming from a thunder cloud that is some 70,000 feet high.

This is after a day when we hit 105 at my house and had a heat index of 124 according to a TV met. I saw that Lerdo hit 112!!! Unbelivable for mid May.

1 inch of rain in about 30 minutes, 50 + mph winds, and marble size hail. Quite a little storm.

Tack on another half inch of rain on the total with more marble size hail. All in all a good and much needed rain event. Should green up things for a week or so. :D :D

We didnt get anything here yesterday!! I swear as the storms got closer they split and half went north of Harris Co. and the other half went south of Harris Co.!! It was so odd, I wish we would have gotten something outta it... Oh well, next time!!
