Severe Weather Radio live

#1 Postby Bunkertor » Tue May 09, 2006 4:48 pm

Dear users !

It seems to be a stormy day. Could someone give me some piece of advice to find best streaming radio stations, that offer live coverage in severe weather-news. OK, you can find them out but there are so many stations...

I had taken a look at that myself, but the only international sites listed are for Canada, Puerto Rico, England/Ireland and Australia.

Maybe Bunkertor can get an idea though from this list as to what to search for in Germany.

America is not going to have a single radio station to cover all the various weather disasters. Here's where I would go to listen for the New England flooding...

Try streaming video http://www.boston.com

Also try the weather cams on http://www.boston.com links

stations off the radio locator you cited...

EMJ 1490 AM Laconia, NH News/Talk
WFTN 94.1 FM Franklin, NH Top-40
WGAM 900 AM Nashua, NH Nostalgia
WGIN 930 AM Rochester, NH News/Talk
WGIP 1540 AM Exeter, NH News/Talk
WGIR 610 AM Manchester, NH News/Talk
WGIR 101.1 FM Manchester, NH Rock
WGXL 92.3 FM Hanover, NH Top-40
WHDQ 106.1 FM Claremont, NH Classic Rock
for flooding in New Hampshire
Boston News/Massachusetts flooding:
WBZ 1030 AM 11.3 mi. Boston, MA News/Talk

WROR is a Boston area "oldies" (1960s, 1970s & 1980s rock and roll) but they will have a bunch of news. Also the station is fun to listen to (especially Lauren and Wally in the morning--although that's a real English test)... On the web: http://www.WROR.com
