Gulf storms heading north into south central LA

#1 Postby CajunMama » Sun May 28, 2006 11:46 am

It looks like south central louisiana might finally get some rain today. Some nice storms heading north. NWS has upped our chance to 60% today.

Yeah it sort of fizzled out as it approached our area and the storms went around us but the steady rain was nice. Looks like we could see some more rain overnight and an 80% chance on Memorial day. Not surprised the first rain in weeks comes on the holiday weekend but it's been so dry I won't mind.

Weak upper trough in East Texas and plenty of moisture should see quite a few showers.
