West Houston Flooding

#1 Postby JenBayles » Wed Jul 26, 2006 8:38 am

The Bear Creek Dome failed us for a change, and our street is now under water with more to come. If we don't get a break really soon, we have major potential of getting water into homes here - ours included.

More to come....

Water got up to nearly the front door, and some water in the house across the street. Got a bit of a break for 30 minutes so it's going down, but more rain pissing down again.

Had to get a canoe out to pick up a girl a few blocks away. Used a shovel for a paddle and got a lot of laughs from the neighbors.

Wow.. I hope it doesn't get any higher. Yikes. Very rarely do we have anything like that here.

JenBayles and YankeeGirl, and, all of our friends in the Houston and
surrounding areas - be careful out there! Hope your homes fare ok!
