...high wind warning in effect until 1 am est saturday...
the national weather service in mount holly has issued a high
wind warning...which is in effect until 1 am est saturday. the
wind advisory has been upgraded to a high wind warning in the
local philadelphia metropolitan area.
a very potent cold front will sweep across the region later this
afternoon and early this evening. winds are expected to continue to
increase through the afternoon and evening hours. sustained wind
speeds may be greater than 40 mph with gusts to near 60 mph,
especially over the higher elevations. winds of this magnitude will
down trees and power lines, resulting in power outages. wind gusts
of between 40 and 50 mph are already common across western
pennsylvania.
the strongest winds may occur as a narrow line of showers and
embedded thunderstorms race across the area later this afternoon and
early this evening. the strong winds should last for a few hours
after the frontal passage, then begin to diminish some after
midnight.
a high wind warning means there is the potential for a hazardous
high wind event. sustained winds of at least 40 mph or gusts of at
least 58 mph may occur. winds this strong can make driving difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles. use extra caution while
driving. do not park vehicles under trees later today if possible.
if not done so already, please secure all loose outdoor items. stay
tuned to noaa weather radio all hazards or your local media outlet
for the latest information on this high wind event.

This was from the Warning that includes the storm over me right now
DOPPLER RADAR HAS INDICATED SOME WEAK ROTATION WITHIN THIS STORM.
WHILE NOT IMMEDIATELY LIKELY...A TORNADO MAY STILL DEVELOP. IF A
TORNADO IS SPOTTED...ACT QUICKLY AND MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY IN A
STURDY STRUCTURE...SUCH AS A BASEMENT OR SMALL INTERIOR ROOM.

it dropped 7 degrees in 40 minutes as it came through (70 to 63)
Damage has been limited to small branches, trash cans, flower pots, and giant blow up snow globes. (Something wrong with that last one)

Ok, these videos I took earlier tonight, the quality sucks I know but it's all I got.
These were during the height of the storm

this is after the storm, notice the clouds racing passed the moon, it's hard to point out but you can kinda tell. Listen to the gusts.
