Drought continues for S/C Texas

#1 Postby Portastorm » Tue Dec 05, 2006 4:38 pm

The drought continues ... Lake Travis, Austin's largest lake, is at the lowest December level it has been since 1964. The lake is currently 25 feet below normal levels.

Hello, El Nino? How about a little rain ...

There might be some encouraging news. From reading some of the state NWS discussions from this afternoon there may be a good chance of rain in the middle of next week. It will be interesting to see if the models continue the trend or will they leave us out to dry.
