Tornado YouTube thread

#1 Postby HurricaneBill » Tue Mar 06, 2007 4:01 pm

I think it's high time we had a thread dedicated to tornado footage on YouTube.

Here is footage of the deadliest tornado of 2006. The Newbern, TN tornado.

Although rope tornadoes are often assumed to be weak, some can be violent. This rope tornado was rated as an F3.

Of course, a thread would not be complete without an F5 tornado. This one from 1956 struck Grand Rapids, MI.

I'm glad you created this thread because I found a lot of cool ones on YouTube just within the past few days. I was wondering if one for tornado's would pop up:

This is one of the best videos I've seen of a tornado. This footage is amazing and used in many different TV media. Usually they only show the best part of it (when it's the closest to the viewer) but this shows 4 mins straight and the siren at the start. You can see how much the funnel changed while moving!!
