I just went to the front page of this site and found out that the snowfall forecast tonight calls for X, that the severe weather in this nation is X, the precipitation forecast for the next few days is X, and the dew points, wind, and some other data are also X. What happened to these maps?

recently there was a server change and since then there have been x's there. you might want to redo your bookmarks so that you dont have to go to the home page.
