URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED
CIVIL EMERGENCY MESSAGE
TANEY COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
RELAYED BY NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPRINGFIELD MO
835 PM CDT THU APR 10 2008

THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE IS TRANSMITTED AT THE REQUEST OF THE TANEY
COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT.

THE U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS IS INCREASING THE WATER FLOW ONCE
AGAIN FROM THE TABLE ROCK DAM IN INCREMENTS FROM 8:30 PM THIS
EVENING TO 9:30 PM THIS EVENING. RESIDENTS ALONG LAKE TANEYCOMO
WILL SEE A RISE IN LAKE LEVELS OF TWO TO THREE MORE FEET FROM THE
CURRENT LEVELS ON THE UPPER END NEAR THE DAM AND TWO MORE FEET
FARTHER DOWNSTREAM TOWARDS POWERSITE DAM. TRIBUTARIES MAY SEE HIGHER
LEVELS AS WATER FROM TANEYCOMO BACKS UP. RESIDENTS ARE ADVISED TO
CLOSE VALVES ON PROPANE TANKS...AND SHUT DOWN POWER AT THE BREAKER
PANEL BEFORE EVACUATING THEIR HOMES.
ANY RESIDENTS STILL IN THEIR
HOMES ARE ENCOURAGED TO SEEK SHELTER ON HIGHER GROUND.
RESIDENTS
ALREADY EVACUATED ARE ASKED NOT TO RETURN TO THEIR HOMES AT THIS
TIME. A SHELTER HAS BEEN SET UP AT THE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH ON
HIGHWAY 76 IN BRANSON.

They have been issuing these all day for the lake residents. Water is at the highest levels in its history. I will be glad when it goes down!
