Severe Wx Warning Information

#1 Postby Anonymous » Fri Dec 20, 2002 2:08 am

Since we're experiencing so much severe weather in the south lately, I figured it would be a good idea to post this link. The page contains a list of the most recent warnings issued by the National Weather Service across the nation. This site is updated faster than any other site during periods of severe weather. Just make sure to hit refresh. :)

Thank you. That's a great site. I could have used it yesterday. My daughter-in-law called me yesterday afternoon for some severe weather info. She was driving from Pensacola, FL to Dothan, AL and had heard there was possibly a tornado warning in her path. I had to search and search for an update.

She made it home....safely.

Don't forget to use that link today! Many parts of the southeast have a HIGH risk of severe weather.

Already thought of your link today. The bad stuff is still to my west but it'll be moving on over this way. Thanks again for that link. :D

I was looking around old pages and came across this. I know this is a really old post, but I think the website above is really good.

This site is very easy to read. I use it since 2 years or so. I think some students developed it.

I prefer this one:

http://mesonet.agron.iastate.edu/GIS/ap ... ings.phtml

This is produced by Iowa St and is associated with the IEM chat used between the NWS offices, EMs and media outlets. Not only does it update fast, but it also depicts the poloygon/radar data.
