I don't know the official high for today but I know at least a few local weather stations reporting 103° - ouch! Heat index was well over 110° every time I checked. According to weatherbug, it's still 99° right now about 6 miles from me, and it's nearly 6:30 p.m.

Official high today in Houston was 104ºf at Houston Intercontinental Airport breaking a record set in 1962 by 3º!! I saw reports at various AWS stations around the city ranging from 103º- 110º(4 miles SE of me). The nearest to me reported 107º f for the high and is still reporting 97º at 8:15 pm with a HI of 107ºf! Don't even want to know what tomorrow will bring!!!

Yep, I just cooked out on the sidewalk tonight!!
