The wave moving across South Florida this morning (Thursday) is looking more impressive. The conditions are becoming very favorable for storm development. A very strong ridge to the north of the storm should continue to guide it into South Texas or Mexico this weekend. We will see increasing coastal winds and boaters should stay in protected waters tonight and tomorrow.
We see no change to the overall weather pattern at this time. Therefore, the storm will be passing to our south. It could become a hurricane before reaching Texas, if it reaches its full potential.
