I took this shot on Thursday night just before sundown. Leftover thunderstorms moving towards the SSW came across the area from above while not obscuring the setting sun. Ironically, as much rain as I've seen this year, this is the first rainbow I've seen all year ...

I have seen several rainbows here in central Florida. They are more common across this area, if I am not mistaken.

They are...My two half-sisters see a lot of them a year in Florida...and a lot of that is a result of the steering flow ... east to west during the afternoon ... in which showers, and thunderstorms move in from east while the sun is still out in the west.
