They say damaging winds from the report and media, but was it a microburst or downdraft? The video(s) caught an impressive wind gust there with tons of brown dust flying in the air. The hue of the storm clouds look weird too (blue with lightning).

A similar event happened last month in Ottawa where a stage also collapsed in a thunderstorm but there were no deaths.

I live about 8 miles NW of the Fairgrounds.

When the line of thunderstorms were coming thru, I went out and could hardly stand up in the strong winds.

I have been in a Cat 1 hurricane before and this was comparable.

This was more a derecho event.
