Holy Moly is that for real?!?! :o !!! Yikes I doubt I have EVER seen such a high QPF before!!! If it verifies ... stay safe and don't float down the Ohio / Missouri / Mississippi Rivers! :o

The 00UTC GFS update will push the precip a lot more southward. More or less around 300-500 miles. So most of IN, IL, and OH will be spared. Oh well. That was fun to actually see on a model there. Haven't been under that much QPF since who knows when.

Joshua, probably not. I won't doubt people receiving near 6 inches in MO and Kentucky BUT if we took into order what the GFS puts. Then we have 10+ and locally higher amounts.

MANY factors ARE pointing to maybe a wet period.

A) The stalled front bringing up tropical moisture
B) The possibility of a Gulf Coast Tropical Storm
C) What happens with the Remanents of Fabian if it impacts the U.S. Coast

I doubt though that the run of GFS at the top will verify. Too bad this front had to stall south of me Oh well, I remember July, and that was quite an awesome event.
